Arvil E. "Jack" Hawkins, age 82, died late Wednesday evening after a long illness. Born February 28, 1934, to Fred Hawkins and Nellie Golsby Hawkins, he was a Social Security Administrator and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Ridgewood Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy, of the home; one son, Alan Hawkins of North Carolina, one daughter Rhonda Wingo of Forrest City, one sister Imodel Franklin of Parks, Arkansas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 2:00pm at Morgan Chapel with Bro. Carl Weatherford officiating. Burial will follow at Loughridge Cemetery in Colt, Arkansas under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 5:00-7:00pm at Morgan Chapel.
