Mr. Billy Ray Ficker, age 65, of Forrest City, Arkansas passed away on Friday January 19, 2024, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born August 15, 1958, in St. Louis Missouri, he was the son of Billy Eugene Ficker and Retha Brown McCurley. He worked for the Arkansas Department of Transportation.
Mr. Ficker was preceded in death by his parents, and Toney McCurley Sr. who raised him as his own.
Mr. Ficker is survived by his wife Deborah Ficker, one son, Joseph Ficker (Ashley Nicole) of Forrest City, Arkansas; one daughter Amy Thomas (James) of Forrest City, Arkansas; two brothers Toney McCurley (Shelia) of Forrest City, Arkansas, and Gene Ficker (Kathy) of Jackson, Tennessee; three sisters Connie McCurley and Sally Brown of Missouri, and Sarah Thomas (Alan) of Paragould, Arkansas; two grandchildren Devin Thomas, and Caitlin Gracey (Shane); six great grandchildren Jensen, Brayden, Melinda, Ava, Levi, and Paxton.
Funeral Service for Mr. Ficker will be Wednesday January 24, 2024, at 2:00 pm and a visitation one hour prior at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Brian Frames officiating. The burial will be at Barnishaw Cemetery near Colt, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers please make donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
