Mrs. Carolyn Young, age 94, of Wynne, Arkansas passed away on Friday April 05, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born April 04, 1930, in Picklesgap, Arkansas, she was the daughter of William McPherson and Ella Tanner McPherson. She worked in a factory for a long time and then took care of her grandchildren. Mrs. Young was Missionary Baptist and was a member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Colt, Arkansas.

Mrs. Young is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Silas Wayne Young, one son Rickey Young, two brothers Monroe McPherson and Leonard McPherson four sisters Marvelle McPherson, Beth VanPelt, Audie McPherson, and Vera McPherson.

Mrs. Young is survived by her three daughters Cathie White of Wynne, Arkansas, Judy (Bill) Dickerson of Sherwood, Arkansas, and Anna (Wayne) Allen of Widener, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Mrs. Young will be on Tuesday April 09, 2024, at 1:00 pm and funeral service will follow at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Colt, Arkansas. Bro. Tony Williams will be officiating. The burial will be at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City, Arkansas.
