Mrs. Christia "Naomi" Watkins, age 86, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at her home in Wynne. Born December 18, 1929, Naomi was the daughter of Luther Whaley and Beulah Huskey Whaley. She was a lifetime resident of Marianna, Arkansas and a member of the Church of Christ. She was a homemaker.

Naomi married John Watkins July 6, 1946. They enjoyed forty-eight years of marriage until John preceded her in death in 1994. She was also preceded in death by three sons Roger, Johnny and Boyce and one daughter Peggy.

Survivors include two sons: Bobby (Wanda) Watkins, Gill Arkansas, Ronnie (Shirley) Watkins, Marianna, Arkansas, and one daughter Annie (Gary) Alexander of Wynne, Arkansas. Naomi also leaves one sister, Helen Emerson of Gill, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for Thursday morning at 10:00am at Morgan Chapel; Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Moro, Arkansas. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Morgan Chapel from 6-8pm.
