Clara Barton Jones Coleman, 82, of Colt Arkansas, died at home, after a long battle with Dementia/Alzheimers on Saturday, February 13, 2021.
Clara was born at home in Holubs Crossing, on August 1, 1938, to the late Israel Jones and Thelma Holub Jones.
She was a resident of Marianna, Forrest City and Colt. She worked for Doughboy in Phillips County, she is a retiree from General Industries, and First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas, while at the bank she was manager at Colt branch then moved to Main Branch. She also served as pink lady for the Forrest City Medical Center. She was member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church.
Clara married Junior Coleman on June 30, 1967 he proceeded her in death in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Pattie Gail Smith (John E.) of the home, two Step Sons, Michael Coleman of Palestine and Jerry Coleman of Forrest City.
She has two nephews, Michael Hall (Debra) of Batesville and Ronnie Hall of Holub's Crossing. She also had three nieces, Dian Lawson (Odie) of Forrest City, Barbara Lee (Tommy) of Springdale and Beverly Hall, who proceeded her in death in 2008.
She has one living grandson, Wesley M. Jackson of Forrest City. She has four great grand children, Trey, Chris Colvin also Kaitlin, Allison Jackson, one great great granddaughter, Taylor Elizabeth Colvin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Israel and Thelma Jones, her husband, Junior Coleman, a still born son, Joseph Lee Coleman, and a granddaughter, Angie Michelle Colvin. She also had two older sisters that preceded her in death, Margaret Ann Jones and Neva Louise Hall.
Ms. Coleman will be buried Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Salem Cemetery next to the Salem Methodist Church in Lee County, Arkansas. Morgan Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.
