Glen E. Gardner, age 71 of Widener and formerly of Hughes, AR, died in his home on July 5, 2019 suddenly and unexpectedly.  Born February 11, 1948, he was the son of Lawrence and Moddie Towery Gardner.  He was the owner of Glen Gardner Roofing and a former butcher for Lock's Food Center in Hughes, AR.  Mr. Gardner was a Baptist.

Survivors include three sons: Glen Dale Gardner of Marianna, AR; Bryan Gardner of Hughes, AR and Jason Gardner of Hughes, AR; six brothers: L.T. (Hollie) Gardner, J.C. (Phyllis) Gardner, Edward Gardner, Roger Gardner, Larry (Patricia) Gardner , and Bobby (Lucy) Gardner all of Hughes, AR; two sisters Louella Reinlein and Pamela (William "Bubba") Harris all of Hughes, AR.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Morgan Chapel in Forrest City, AR with Pastor James Towery officiating.  Visitation is one hour prior to services at 10:00 AM.  Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City, AR.

Memorials in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.
