Mr. Howard Lee Powell, age 62, of Widener, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the Forrest City Medical Center after a long illness.

Born on May 1, 1964, to Billie Jean Powell Rainbolt, he worked in maintenance at an industrial factory and was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his mother, his wife, Bonnie Harris Powell, and his grandparents, Virginia "Jean" Story and Robert "R.B." Story.  He is survived by two sons, Phillip Powell and wife Sasha, of Batesville, Arkansas, and Larry Cadwell Jr. and wife Morgan, of Beebe, Arkansas; one daughter, Laura White and husband Cody of Palestine, Arkansas; two brothers, Jason Stidham and Priscilla of Widener, Arkansas, and Timothy Nelms and Mandy of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be planned at a later date.  Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
