Mrs. Jackie Louise Barnes, age 80, of Forrest City died Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at her home. She was born November 3, 1942, in Hughes, Arkansas to Charlie Jackson Sr. and Lucilla Hamby Jackson. She was a retired self-employed hairdresser and attended Oak Hill Church of God prior to being a full-time caregiver for husband.

Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Ladell Moody and Diane Jackson, and two brothers Johnny Jackson and John Jackson.

She is survived by her husband Glenn Barnes of the home, three sons Jerry McCoy of Wynne, Arkansas, Shane Faulkner of Wynne, Arkansas, and Lance Cooper and his wife Carla of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one step-daughter Lisa Thurmond of Rosebud, Arkansas; six brothers Wayne Jackson and his wife Beverly of Forrest City, Arkansas, Billy Jackson of Forrest City, Arkansas, Charlie Jackson and his wife Sue of Forrest City, Arkansas, Jerry Jackson of Wynne, Arkansas, Lynn Ray Jackson and his wife Barbara of Forrest City, Arkansas, and Ricky Jackson of Forrest City, Arkansas; three sisters Martha Atkins of West Memphis, Arkansas, Linda Sue Weddington, of Forrest City, Arkansas and Glenda Zambroni and her husband Jimmy of Memphis, Tennessee; six grandchildren Xander Cooper, Jennifer Owen, Jessica Bishop, Amber Chapman, Matthew McCoy, and Jackson McCoy, and five great grandchildren.

Funeral service for Mrs. Barnes will be Monday February 6, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel in Forrest City with sister Esther Witcher officiating the service. Burial will follow at Crosslawn Cemetery in Wynne, Arkansas.

Visitation with the family and friends will be Monday from 12:00-2:00 prior to the service. There will be a Remembrance Service from 1:30-2:00 (personal stories).
