Edward Adamson
December 3, 1969 – August 25, 2023
James Edward Adamson, "Eddie," passed away after a short illness on Friday, August 25, 2023, with his family at his side.
Born December 3, 1969, to Brenda and Ernest Adamson, Jr. at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis, Eddie grew up on top of Crowley's Ridge, just outside of Forrest City with his brother and parents. Many of his best memories and experiences occurred around Crowley's Ridge growing up, as he could often be found hunting and fishing with his dad.

Eddie continued his education, graduating from the Arkansas Police Academy in 1991. He later graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Charter Oak State College.
For 32 years, Eddie worked in law enforcement in both Arkansas and Oklahoma, rising through the ranks to become Chief of Police for two different cities in Oklahoma. Most recently, he worked with the Marianna Police Department. Eddie devoted his life to law enforcement and it was always a point of pride for him and an honor to serve his community in that capacity. He set an example and mentored many law enforcement, officers throughout his career.
Eddie was fiercely loyal to his friends and family. Any time, night or day, Eddie would drop everything to support those he loved. He loved deeply and he lived out that love, an example of what true love means.
At a young age, Eddie accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was an active member of Lighthouse Ministries in Forrest City.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Sharon Adamson of Forrest City. He also leaves behind a daughter, Presley of Franklin Tennessee, two step-sons, Nick (Samantha) and Noah (Morgan) Pickard of Forrest City, a brother Ricky (Rich) of Los Angeles, California, and his mom, Brenda Adamson of Forrest City. In addition, he leaves a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Adamson, Jr, his paternal grandparents, Ernest and Louise Adamson, his maternal grandparents, Jim and Hazel Kelso, and his parents-in-law, Cliff and Linda Morgan.
For those who knew and loved Eddie, their lives are richer because of him.
Memorial Services will be Tuesday August 29, 2023 at 2pm at Morgan Funeral Home in Forrest City, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Fraternal Order of Police at 1700 E 2nd Street. Little Rock, AR 72202.
