Obituary

Mr. James Donald "Hop" Hendrix, age 84, died at his home in Forrest City, formerly of Marianna, after a long illness. Born May 31, 1932, he was the son of Elbert and Joy Marie Tucker Hendrix. He was a carpenter and a farmer. He enjoyed deer hunting, coon hunting and fishing.

Mr. Hendrix was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Debbie Todd; one sister Claudine Hendrix; and four brothers including Jimmy Hendrix, Dick Holt, Roger Holt and Kenneth Holt.

Survivors include his wife Billye, of the home, one son Dwayne ( & Ellen) Hendrix of Weiner, AR; four daughters Judy McMahan of Forrest City, Shelia Oxner of Hughes, Pam (& Bert) Pouncey of Proctor, AR, and Donita (& Walter) Lovell of West Memphis, AR; one brother Elbert "Dude" (& Erma Jean) Hendrix of Marianna; one sister Dorothy (& Charlie) Duncan of Mississippi; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 09, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Morgan Chapel. Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 10:00am at Morgan Chapel with Bro. Justin Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Marianna Memorial Park under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.
