Mr. James Dean Scott, age 83, of Forrest City, died Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Ash Flat Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ash Flat, Arkansas.

He was born February 5, 1932, the son of Thomas Douglas Scott and Bessie Burl Duty Scott. He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Ridgewood Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Gloria of the home; one daughter Cindi Clark and husband Ricky of McCrory, AR; one son Russell "Rusty" Scott and wife Debbie of Alvin, TX; one stepdaughter Kristeen Renigar and husband Mark of Forrest City, AR; two sisters: Martha Martin of Forrest City and Joan Rogers of Austin, TX; four grandchildren: Ray and Mark Ellis of Forrest City, Megan Rosenboom of Alvin, TX and Debbie Vaughn of Dallas, TX; five step-grandchildren: Gage Lindsey, Hunter Lindsey, Sydney Lindsey, Todd Renigar and Tad Renigar; five great grandchildren: Madison Turpen, Anna Ellis, Ayla Rosenboom, Kaylee Vaughn and Caleb Vaughn; and two step great grandchildren Tristan Renigar and Emma Dailey.

Memorial Services will be Thursday afternoon, June 18, 2015, at 2:00pm Ridgewood Baptist Church. Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
