Mr. Jerry Wayne Herron (Rooster), age 54, of Forrest City, Arkansas passed away on Monday March 17, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center Spring Hill North Little Rock, Arkansas. Born May 16, 1970, in Marianna, Arkansas. He was the son of Jerry Wayne Herron Sr. and Brinda Alsup Herron. He was employed at B&E Tires, Herron Farms, and was a master of all trades. Rooster loved to fish and hunt, listening to ACDC, he would do anything for anybody and would give you the shirt off his back, most of all he loved his kids and grandkids and loved to spend time with them.

Rooster was preceded in death by his parents.

Rooster is survived by his stepmom Sandra Herron of Marianna, Arkansas; two sons Jesse (Crystal Sims) Herron of Marianna, Arkansas and Christopher (Kristen) Herron of Palestine, Arkansas; three daughters Lashai (Cord) Young of West Memphis, Lauren (Damien) Herron of Wynne, Arkansas, and Amelia Herron of Wynne, Arkansas; two brothers Dayton Herron of Brinkley, Arkansas and Daniel Billingsley of Holub Crossing, Arkansas; one sister Valli (Chad) Herron of Brinkley, Arkansas; Ten grandchildren Hunter Sims, Hailey (Jacob) Thompson, Jake Sims, McKinlee Young, Kylee Young, Bradley Young, Waylon Young, Riggs Herron, Oaklynn Rae Inebnit, and Hayden Dewayne-Cole Laws. He is also survived by a grandchild and great grandchild on the way. Extended family Allison Laws.

Funeral Service for Rooster will be on Friday March 21, 2025, at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am with a visitation one hour prior to service. Bro. Michael Busby will be officiating. The burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery Marianna, Arkansas.
