Mr. Jimmy D. Parish, age 74 of Forrest City went to be with the Lord January 29, 2013 at his home after a long illness.

Mr. Parish was born February 24, 1938 in Gill, Arkansas, the son of Robert W. Parish and Mary Louise Cash Parish. He was retired from Yale and a member of the Oak Hill Church of God.

Mr. Parish was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Parish of the home; four sons, Robert "Bobby" Parish and William "Billy" Parish, both of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Jimmy Parish, Jr. of Conway, Arkansas, and Brandon Farrell of Mt. Home, Arkansas; three daughters, Angela Utley and Teresa Laws, both of Wynne, Arkansas and Robyn Blackwell of Forrest City, Arkansas; one sister, Catherine Speer of Jacksonville, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013 in the Chapel of Morgan Funeral Home from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 2 P.M. at the Oak Hill Church of God with Bro. William Witcher officiating. Burial will follow at Hughes Cemetery in Forrest City, Arkansas.
