Mrs. Joann Bryan, age 86, of Palestine, Arkansas passed away on Monday August 12, 2024, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis Tn. Born July 08, 1938, in Y-City, Arkansas, she was the daughter of William Rutledge and Juanda McBride Rutledge. Mrs. Bryan was a lifetime resident of Arkansas and was a member of Walls Chapel Baptist Church at Holub Crossing, and she was a seamstress.

Mrs. Bryan is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Emmet Lee Bryan.

Mrs. Bryan is survived by one son Alan Bryan of Palestine, Arkansas; two daughters Kelly Bryan of Palestine, Arkansas and Leslie Peterson of Marianna, Arkansas; two brothers Larry (Bonnie) Rutledge of Kansas and Ronald (Lynn) of Searcy, Arkansas; three sisters Dorothy Thieme of Searcy, Arkansas, Arveta Schlieve of Washington, and Mary Vincent of Southaven Miss; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A visitation for Mrs. Bryan will be Thursday August 15, 2024, from 9:00-10:00 am at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel in Forrest City, Arkansas. A graveside service will be held Thursday 15, 2024, at 11:00 am at Gill Cemetery in Marianna, Arkansas. Bro. Mike Mitchell will be officiating the service.
