Mr. Johnny D. Melton Jr., age 43, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021, in Marion Arkansas. Born September 30, 1977, he was the son of John Doyle Melton Sr. and Doris Thornton Melton. He was a Baptist.

Mr. Melton was preceded in death by his father. Both grandparents Cliff and Maruine Thornton, John David Thornton, and Ema Melton 2 uncles David and James Thornton, 3 aunts Peggy and Mary Thornton, Margie Alford.

Survivors include his mother Doris Melton of Marion, Arkansas, one sister: Tamiki Thornton of Memphis, Tn. seven aunts; Daine Thornton of Forrest City, Arkansas, Dorothy Thornton of Forrest City, Arkansas, Alice Hastings of Forrest City, Arkansas, Barbara (Author) Trevino of Colt, Arkansas, Betty Thornton of West Memphis, Arkansas three uncles; Bobby Alford of Marion Arkansas, Richard (Brenda) of Colt, Arkansas, John Clifton Thornton of Texas. 31 Cousins.

Graveside Service for Mr. Melton will be Wednesday August 25, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Hughes Cemetery in Forrest City, Arkansas, with Bro. Leroy La thon officiating. A visitation with family will be from 1-1:30 at Morgan Funeral Chapel prior to going to cemetery. Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
