Mrs. Joyce Ladelle Moody, age 60, of Forrest City, died late Thursday afternoon at the Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis after a short illness. Born September 9, 1955, she was the daughter of Charlie Lee Jackson and Lucille Hamby Jackson. She was a member of the Oak Hill Church of God and a child care worker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ben in 2010. Survivors include her daughter Brandi Patterson of Forrest City and her son Christopher Shawn Jackson of Forrest City. She is also survived by six brothers: Ray (& Barbara) Jackson, Wayne (& Beverly) Jackson, Billy (& Catherine) Jackson, Ricky Jackson, Jerry Jackson and Charlie (& Sue) Jackson, all of Forrest City; four sisters: Jackie (& Glen) Barnes of Forrest City, Glenda (& Jimmy) Zambroni of Mississippi; Linda (& Larry) Weddington of Forrest City, and Martha Adkins of West Memphis; five grandchildren: Tyler, Ashby, Braden, Dawson, and Claire; two great-grandchildren Taylor and Payton.

No funeral services are planned at the request of the family. Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
