Mr. Larry Smith, age 70, passed away at his home in Searcy, Arkansas, Saturday, June 25, 2022. He was born July 10, 1951, in Marianna, Arkansas. He lived most of his life in Palestine/Forrest City, Arkansas, relocating to Searcy, Arkansas in December 2021 to be closer to his daughters..

Larry was employed at Sanyo Manufacturing until he became self employed as a carpenter and later owned his own parking lot sweeping service.

Larry was preceded in death by his brother, William Garland Smith, his wife Donna Gay Smith and his mother Margaret Brady Smith.

Larry is survived by two daughters, Terri Stokes and husband Jeff of Denton, TX. and Melissa Sparks and her husband Michael of Searcy, AR; two brothers: Edward "Snuffy" Smith and wife Bobbie Ann of Palestine, AR and Avery Smith and wife Sarah of Crawfordsville, AR; two sisters: Sara Tedder and husband Eddie of Forrest City and Tammy Hankins and husband Tommy of Forrest City, AR; seven grandchildren: Conner Sparks and wife Heather of Fairbanks, AK, Gavin Sparks of Starkville, MS, Tara Story, Justin Stokes, Brooke Rogers, Drew Stokes and Will Stokes all of Searcy, AR.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Morgan Chapel. Memorial Services will be led by Rev. James Hayes.
