Mrs. Lucille McGee Morgan, age 91, of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, formerly of Colt, Arkansas, died Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2026, at Advent-Redmond Hospital in Rome, Georgia, after a long illness.
She was born in Colt, Arkansas, in 1934, to Arthur McGee and Allie Kelso McGee. She worked at Halstead Industries in Wynne, and she was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Morgan, and two daughters: Linda Hogan and Baby April. She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Gary McGee, Arthur Smith, Jimmy Smith, and Leon McGee, and three sisters: Paulette Detwiller, Elizabeth Shatwell, and Dorothy Shepherd.
She attended Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church in Cedar Bluff, Alabama.
Survivors include three sons: Terry Scott and his wife Kristine of Lonoke, Arkansas, Bobby Scott and his wife Stacey of Clinton, Arkansas, and Jimmy Scott and his wife Joan of Bella Vista, Arkansas; three daughters: Teresa Brannon and her husband Mike of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, Brenda Munn of Scott, Arkansas, and Lisa Stevens of West Point, Mississippi. Her family's presence reflects her enduring legacy.
She is also survived by the husband of her late daughter, Linda, Mr. Jerry Hogan.
She is survived by two sisters: Garnet Orman of Malvern, Arkansas, and Pat Bonds and her husband, Earl, of Ozark, Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and fifteen great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family of Mrs. Morgan will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 11 AM at the Morgan Chapel in Forrest City, Arkansas. The community is invited to join us in honoring her life. Graveside Services will be on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM Loughridge Cemetery in Colt, Arkansas, with Bro. Eddie Addison officiating.
