Margie Alford, 81, of Marion, Arkansas entered her heavenly home on October 31, 2020 after a long illness. She was the daughter of Maureen Miller and a Baptist. She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Bobby Alford. Her hobbies were puzzle books, sewing and visiting with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her eight children: Billy Alford (Kelyn) of Marion, John Alford (Lahoma) of Marion, Karen Cook (James) of Blytheville, Robert Alford (Sandra) of Marion, Sharen Bechel of Marion, Debbie Farrow of Marion, Carla Pennington of Marion, and Elizabeth House (Frank) of Marion and one grandson whom she raised Bobby Pennington (Stephanie) of Mississippi; two brothers Richard Thornton of Forrest City, John Thornton of Texas and seven sisters: Betty Thornton of West Memphis, Doris Melton of West Memphis, Jackie Billingsley (Johnny) of Cabot, Diane Thornton of Forrest City, Alice Hastings of Forrest City, Dorothy Thornton of Forrest City, Barbara Trevino (Arthur) of Forrest City; twenty-three grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; twenty-one great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.
Services are scheduled Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Morgan Chapel with Pastor Adam Cupples officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at Morgan Chapel. Burial will be at Hughes Cemetery in Forrest City.
Pallbearers will be James Cook, Robert Alford, Frank House, Paul Cook, Jessie Montgomery and Bobby Charles Pennington.
Arrangements under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home in Forrest City.
