Mrs. Martha L. Smith, age 85, of Colt, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday January 22, 2025, at Crestpark nursing home in Forrest City, Arkansas. Born April 07, 1939, in Vanndale, Arkansas, she was the daughter of John Turner and Jewel Ruston Turner. Prior to retirement she worked for Colt Water Department. She was a member of Southside Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Jimmy Smith, three siblings Rutha Heath, Lois Phelps, and John "Bo" Turner, and a son-in-law Roger Breeding.

Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons Jimmy Smith Jr. of Gainsville, Florida and David Smith of Wynne, Arkansas; two daughters Brenda (Anthony) McCorkle of Wynne, Arkansas and Glenda (Carroll) Heustess of Forrest City, Arkansas; six grandchildren Brittney Hinkle, Colten Smith, Hunter McCorkle, Lacey McCorkle, Jennifer Morgan Ramsey, and Justin Morgan and seven great grandchildren Sidney Hinkle, Camden Gremard, Ruston McCorkle, Wilson Reeves, Olivia Reeves, Oakley Huckaba, and Kanton Morgan.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Smith will be Saturday January 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Forrest City, Arkansas with Bro. Tyler Willis officiating. Burial will be at Loughridge Cemetery in Colt, Arkansas.
