Mrs. Mary Helen Powell, age 66, died at her home in Forrest City, Friday evening, September 12, 2014, after a long illness.
Born August 11, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of Richard C. Thompson and Rosemary Wienant Thompson. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband Roger, of the home; two sons: Joseph (Joey) Powell of St. Louis, MO and Kenneth Powell of Nashville, TN; three brothers Richard Thompson of Boston, MA; Donald Thompson and Michael Thompson both of St. Louis, MO; four sisters Patricia Whitehead of Forrest City, AR; Barbara Leukel, Christine Bacher, and Michelle Sherman all of St. Louis, MO; and four grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Morgan Chapel at 2:00pm with Rev. T.L. Gabbard officiating. Burial is to follow at Bell Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the service from 1:00pm until 2:00 under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.
