Mrs. Maxine Azbell Montgomery, age 73, died October 4, 2014 at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas after a long illness. Born February 22, 1941, she was the daughter of Clifton and Janie Nichols. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Arlis Montgomery of Hot Springs, AR; five sons: Rodney (& Karla) Azbell of Enterprise, AL; Matt Azbell of Minneapolis, MN; Walter Kevin Azbell of Zimmerman, MN; Dan Azbell of Hot Springs, AR; and Tony (& Sharon) Montgomery of Evening Shade, AR. She also leaves one brother: Bill Nichols of Forrest City, AR; three sisters: Annie Grace Hale of Indiana, Louise Webb of Colt, AR and Blanche Carter of Harrison, AR; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Morgan Chapel. Burial will follow at Hughes Cemetery. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service, beginning at 12:00pm.
