Mrs. Melissa Marie Thigpen, age 55, died at Forrest City Medical Center Saturday morning, July 20, 2019.

Born December 19, 1963 to Lavoy Ramsey and Lynn Treat Ramsey, she worked at Wal-Mart Pharmacy prior to retirement.  She was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of the CenterPoint Church in Forrest City.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Survivors include her father Mr. Lavoy Ramsey, her husband, Arnold Thigpen of the home; one son Christopher A. Thigpen and his wife Melissa of Palestine; one daughter Kaitlin Christine Thigpen of the home; one brother Anthony J. Ramsey and his wife Cindy of Wynne; two sisters Vickey Barker and her husband Dwight of Palestine and Sarah Lindsey and her husband Robert of Mayflower, AR; seven grandchildren: Abby Gail, Ayden, Kaydence, Madyson, Bostyn, Corbyn and Zaydie.

At her request, she will be cremated.  Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
