Merita "Rita" Golden Jones, age 81, died at her home in Forrest City, Tuesday, January 15, 2019, after a long illness.

Born June 8, 1937, she was the daughter of L.A. Clark and Bonnie Pearl Miller Clark.  She worked at Sanyo Manufacturing until retirement.  She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Steve Golden, in 1992 and her second husband, "Tink" Jones, in 2004.

Survivors include her daughter Karen Golden of Biscoe, AR, two sons Steve Golden, Jr. and wife Debbie, and James Golden both of Forrest City; one sister Patsy (& husband W.O.) Prince of Biscoe, AR; four grandchildren: Mason Bewley, Brandy Havers, Summer Ballard and Stevie Marie Woodcock; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be Friday afternoon, January 18, 2019 at 2:00pm at Morgan Chapel with Bro. David Rogers officiating.  Burial will follow at Hughes Cemetery under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Morgan Chapel.
