Mr. Michael Lee Long, age 62, of Forrest City, died early Friday morning, June 8, 2018, in Memphis, after a long illness.
Born Nov. 2, 1955, he was the son of Wayne Everett Long Sr. and Alice Lea Johnston Long. He was a former police offier with the Forrest City Police Department and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Alice, of the home; five daughters, Shante Marie Kilpatrick of Missouri, Lisa Morrow and her husband Mike of Arkadelphia, Marty Harrell and husband James of Long View, Texas, Cynthia Storlie and husband Danny of Batesville and Destiny Sant of Forrest City; two brothers, Wayne Long and wife Twyla of Blue Springs, Mo., and Dwayne Long and wife Cheryl of Raymore, Mo.; one sister, Bonnie Johnson of Texas and several grandchildren, including Mystic and Dustin.
Visitation for Mr. Long will be held this evening, Monday, June 11, 2018, at 6 p.m., at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, prior to the funeral service for Mr. Long at 7 p.m., at Morgan Chapel, with Bro. Raymond Hill and Bro. Gary Chapman officiating.
Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of services.
