Mrs. Nellie L. Cowan, age 82, died at McCrory Nursing Home on October 1, 2017 after a long illness. She was born August 28, 1935, the daughter of Walter Simmons and Jamielle French Simmons. She worked for General Industries and was a member of the Rolfe Assembly.

Mrs. Cowan's husband, Maburn Lee Cowan, Jr., followed her in death, a short time after on the same day.

Mrs. Cowan is survived by one son Ricky (& Cindi) Clark of McCrory, Arkansas; one step-son, Lee (& Angie) Cowan of McCrae, Arkansas; two daughters: Betty (& Harold) Owens of Wynne, AR and Eva (& Steve) Owens of Vilonia, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 2:00pm at Morgan Chapel in Forrest City, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at Morgan Chapel.
