Oneida May Potter age 98 passed from this life on March 05,2022 at her home in Marianna, Arkansas.
Oneida was born May 05, 1923 at Sulphur Springs, Arkansas. She was the oldest of nine children born to Sarah Jane Parsons Bryant and Lester Bryant. She married Harmon Potter in 1941. They had 51 years together.
Oneida loved people and loved talking to people. She especially liked when people asked about life when she was young. She had a very good memory and knew a lot of details that she added in. She also liked quilting and like designing her own patterns. She was a big Cardinal baseball fan. But most of all she loved her family. Each one was special to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one granddaughter Sheila Gregory of Newark, Arkansas; four Edan Williams of Killen, Alabama, Minnie Hendrex of Forrest City, Arkansas, Betty Wright of Palestine, Arkansas, and Joyce Macon of Forrest City, Arkansas; three brothers Thurman Bryant of Alabama, Chester Bryant of Widener, Arkansas, and Jerrald Wayne Bryant of Dardanelle, Arkansas.
She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Wood and her husband Ray of Marianna, Arkansas; One great granddaughter Crystal Gregory of Sanford North Carolina; one sister Wanda Crabb of Baldwyn, Mississippi. And many nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday March 8, 2022, at Morgan Chapel, at 1:00 pm and funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm located at 2605 S. Washington in Forrest City. Bro. Norman Like will be officiating.
Morgan Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
