Mr. Orville A. Mathews Formerly of Gill, AR, passed November 23 in Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL. Orville was born May 11,1936 to Charles and Viola Mathews whom he joins in heaven. He leaves behind two daughters, Melinda Cheryl Mathews of Athens, AL and Kimberly Suzette Smith of Conway, AR, one step daughter Shelly Gibson of Harrisburg, IL, one brother Sam Mathews and one sister Dorothy McClurg both of Gill, AR 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and his beloved dog T.J.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Patsy Mathews, his son Carlton "Pete" Mathews, his sister Lola Key and his parents.
Orville lived a simple life filled with love and family. He was the happiest with a plate of catfish with an old western on TV. He picked flowers for his daughters Cheryl and Kim regularly and they will be missed. The family is forever grateful for the wonderful life, love and memories that we have. God we are so thankful for hi generosity and overwhelming sense of family. Orville your love will live in our hearts for all eternity.
