Mrs. Patricia Ann Lawson, age 77, of Higden, Arkansas, formerly of Colt, Arkansas, died April 8, 2026, after a long illness.

Born March 3, 1949, to Forrest and Pauline Huey Baskins, Mrs. Lawson was a cafeteria worker in the Forrest City Public School District and attended New Prospect Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marion Lawson; a grandson, Charles David Guinnip; and two brothers, Forrest Junior Baskins and Ralph Baskins.

Mrs. Lawson is survived by two daughters, Tina Rooks and her husband, Larry, of Higden, AR and Melanie Guinnip and her husband, Chris, of Colt; one brother, Robert Baskins and wife, Brenda, of Caldwell, Arkansas; one sister, Betty King and her husband, Gayle, of Newark, Arkansas; and three grandchildren, Hannah and Reagan Byard and Lollie Parker.

Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 1:00 pm at the Morgan Chapel.  Immediately following the visitation, funeral services for Mrs. Lawson will be held at 2:00 pm at the Morgan Chapel with Bro. Thomas Rodgers officiating and assisted by Bro. Clint Haynes.  Burial will follow at Loughridge Cemetery in Colt, Arkansas, under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.
