Mr. Ralph Curtis Brainerd, age 85, passed away at his home in Texarkana, Arkansas, after a long illness.  He was born in Forrest City, Arkansas on July 11, 1935 to Ralph Boren Brainerd and Zana Curtis Brainerd.  After graduating with his associates degree, he worked as a Power Plant Manager for Domtar. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Texarkana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law Vickie Brainerd, wife of Tim Brainerd.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Caldwell Brainerd, of the home; three sons: Ralph C. Brainerd, Jr. and wife Freida of Texarkana, TX; Timothy Brainerd and special friend Carolyn of New Boston, TX; Mark Brainerd and wife Debbie of Compton, AR; one daughter: Gwen Trover and husband Roger of TN; one sister: Zana Minchew and husband Morris of Hallsvile, TX; fourteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are set for Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City, AR. In the event of rain, services will be held at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel.
