Susan Kay Cagle, née Monroe, passed away peacefully at her home in Palestine, Arkansas, on June 8, 2026, after a long illness. Born on January 7, 1953, in Twentynine Palms, California, Susan dedicated much of her life to serving others and her community with kindness and grace.
Susan spent her working years as a waitress, where her warm spirit and genuine care for people left a lasting impression on many who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was also an active member of the Twin Assembly of God church in Palestine, Arkansas.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Kenneth Cagle, and her children, Doug Jackson of Vilonia, Arkansas, and Jacquelynn Wright of Marion, Arkansas. Susan’s legacy lives on through her four cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Hazel Alsup Monroe, and her son, Wade Jackson.
A graveside service to honor Susan’s life will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Bell Cemetery in Palestine, Arkansas, starting at 10:00 a.m. This service will provide family and friends with the opportunity to pay their respects and celebrate the remarkable life she lived.
Susan Kay Cagle’s life was marked by love, devotion, and a steadfast faith that inspired those around her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness remain an enduring testament to the beautiful person she was.
