Wesley William Kilgore, 75, passed away on August 31, 2026, at his home in Forrest City, Arkansas. He was born on March 12, 1951, in Florence, Alabama, to Hardy and Opal Makemson Kilgore.
Mr. Kilgore was a self-employed farmer, a life marked by hard work, dedication, and a deep connection to the land. Farming was not simply his occupation, but an enduring part of the life he built for himself and for those he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Mona Kilgore, and by his sons, Kevin Kilgore and his wife, Stacy, of Forrest City; Walter Kilgore of Forrest City; and Scotty Jackson and his wife, Christy, of Pine Tree. He is also survived by his sisters, Edna King, Mary Parham, Carolyn Pugh, and Lynn Hughes, all of Forrest City. Mr. Kilgore also leaves behind his grandchildren, Harley Kilgore and Maegan Miller, both of Forrest City; Kyle Jackson and his wife, Madi, of Caldwell; Catherine Reyes and her husband, Jesse; and Alexander Jackson and his wife, Connie, all of Pine Tree; and 13 great-grandchildren. Each of them was part of the family circle that continued to bring meaning and joy to his life.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Kilgore and Jimmy Kilgore.
William Kilgore will be remembered with love by his family and by all who knew him. His memory will remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
