Mr. William Donald Barksdale, age 57, of Forrest City and Marion, died at his home in Forrest City on June 14, 2017, following an electrical accident. He was born in Elmondorf, Alaska, on August 5, 1959 to Willie Barksdale and Evelyne Grangle Barksdale. He was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church in Forrest City and served with the Marine Corps. He was employed by the US Postal Service prior to retirement. He was a Scoutmaster.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Kellie; one daughter Kristen "Ashley" Barksdale of Conway and one son Jarred Barksdale of Marion, Arkansas; four sisters Judy Hunt and her husband Jesse, Madonna Smith, Clara Harland, and Melodi Betts.
Funeral services for Mr. Barksdale are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday morning, June 17, 2017 at Morgan Chapel in Forrest City. Burial will follow at a later date and will be private. Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
