Mr. William Calvin Short, age 70, of Forrest City, Arkansas passed away on Saturday November 09, 2024, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born January 23, 1954, in Hughes, Arkansas, he was the son of Calvin Short and Charlene Williamson Short. He was a lifetime resident of Arkansas, was a farmer, and was of Baptist faith.

Mr. Short is preceded by his parents, his wife Nancy Short, and one stepson Jamie Chapman.

Mr. Short is survived by two sons William Calvin Short Jr. (Tammy) of Palestine, Arkansas and Charles Edward Short of Forrest City, Arkansas; one daughter Brittany Lawson (Roger) of Wynne, Arkansas and one stepdaughter Melissa Waldell (Gary) of Forrest City, Arkansas; one sister Judy Melton (Rayburn) of Forrest City, Arkansas; eight grandchildren Roger Lawson III, Riley Lawson, Autumn Grace Lawson, Savannah Colvin, Tyler Waldell, Timothy Chapman, Jamison Bowen, and McKenzie Staggs and one great grandchild Hayley Colvin.

Graveside service for Mr. Short will be Tuesday November 12, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Hughes Cemetery in Forrest City, Arkansas Bro. Rayburn Melton will be officiating.
